It is with great pleasure to present paintings by one of our long time local artists, Judy Hartsfield. Showing with Ms. Hartfield is Potter, Larry Allen of Leeds, Alabama.
The youngest of nine children, Judy's first art teacher and mentor was her older sister Jenny. Judy's interest in art began at the age of four. Her professional career spans a thirty year period as a working artist. She paints a varity of subjects including, still life, songbirds, floral, seascapes, and landscapes in watercolor and acrylic.
Mr. Allen works with clay, mostly stoneware for his pottery. Larry is one of those fortunate artists who supports his family through the sales of his art. He is a member of of the Southern Highland Craft Guild and produces work for their retail shops, as well a a number of other shops across the South. He also travels to sell work at juried art festivals throughout the United States.
The reception for this month's art exhibit will be Thursday, June 12, 2008 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. - free admission, food and beverage - live entertainment by Pianist, Chrissy Pursell of Fayetteville.
